WE JUST DECIDED TO.

In a recent trail blazing TV series by the name Newsroom, there is an episode where they debate on whether they should change how they do their news. They are caught in a dilemma of sorts whether to try the popularist way and go for ratings and viewership or travel the lonely road and do news that is pure unbiased and uncensored. In the end they pick the road less travelled and then one of the characters says the line, "One day they shall say we changed the world, why? Because we just decided to."

In the same vein we have decided to change our world by starting from the ground up. Around nineteen million Kenyans are below the age of fifteen that accounts for forty three percent of our population. Of this forty three roughly eighty percent survive on a meal a day. This means most Kenyan children have a meal a day more often than not in school. So how much more could we help these children and these communities if we support and uplifted their schools?

Zoe international is dedicated to this cause and by partnering with major companies, both local and international, came up with Coin 4 Coin campaign. Through this campaign we will encourage people to give any amount of money towards the refurbishment and revitalization of rural schools and their amount shall be matched by the partnering companies. This means if we bunch together and raise three million then our partners top up with an equal amount of three million; literally getting a coin for every coin you give.

Subscribe to this blog to keep up with stories of the children we are helping and what the money stands to do for them.

Regards,
Coiner.

  4. A worthwhile initiative. According to Mahatma Gandhi, we strive to become the change we want to see in our society.

  5. amazing initiative that's focused on the children of tomorrow. the best part is that it does not favor the girl or boy child which has been the problem with most child focused initiatives in the country. big up, this is amazing.

  6. This is an amazing thing you guys from badili badili are doing. Considering rural schools that are rarely considered. They really need all the help they can get. I will definately support this good cause.
